The current Clean & Simple Challenge, Use a Rose on Your Card - 6/3/19, came at great time for me. Roses are well represented in my stamping stash!
The Rose cutout border I used on this card is a brand new one I received from my dear friend for my birthday. This card was made as a thank you to her. Pretty cool that the CAS Challenge came along just as I was planning to use my new die!
This was a super simple card to create. I used Stampin Up Shimmer cardstock for the base for a couple of reasons. It is able to withstand light application of water, and the shimmer adds a subtle elegance to the finished card.
I used makeup brushes (faux Life Changing Brushes from Amazon), to apply the Distress Oxide ink on the inside of the card, and then splattered water and lifted ink with a tissue. After cutting the Rose border, I added a diecut sentiment using more Shimmer cs, and a sweet tiny diecut heart at the end of the swoop. Finished the card with organdy ribbon from my stash and rose tone pearls.
Thanks so much for taking a peek at my card for the Rose Challenge!

Beautiful card...love the open-rose die-cut showing off that lovely watercolor splattered interior. Sheer pink ribbon, so sparkly and perfect finishing!

Susy, just decided to visit your gallery right now. I see I missed this beauty. You did a wonderful design with the gifted rose die. I love the sentiment die you used as well. This is so very pretty!
