I love snails. Not because I'm slow, but because I think they're fascinating and beautiful. This past week's teapot party is 'choose your animal', and I choose snails. I haven't ever seen one in real life, except at the lake 'up north' and that was just the shells. They are shy. I think I like the shape. I do collect snails, especially vintage ones or maybe some yard art. I even Zentangled a snail a while ago.
So I hoped I would find a snail in today's IC. Nope. But I loved all those baby animals with blue skies, flowers or bubble gum. So I used those pictures as inspiration. My baby snails are going on a trip, as I am, 'up north' as we Wisconsinites say, to the lake.
I too like the play on words for the website today. What fun!

I love your snails. They are so cute and colorful. I wish I would see some just like them in my yard. Wonderful scene with the flowers, too.

Snails in real life are not as appetizing as you would think. But as art, they are so interesting. I love all the snails you added to the flowers. Such a fun card!

You haven't seen snails in real life! My goodness - come and visit. Not so much here, although there are times our wall is covered with them at night. They're a real garden pest here, but one doesn't want to kill them because they are indeed quite beautiful. I usually just throw them over the wall. I have quite a few snail stamps and recently treated myself to a die too when I was ordering from eBay and was able to combine postage. Yours are really sweet with their unique shells - and they have a beautiful garden to live in too.
I have a pottery one that I brought back from when I was working in Guernsey (Channel Islands) before I was married. There was an amazing craft centre there with such beautiful pottery and glassware. I bought a lot for Christmas presents that year - and the only thing that broke on the two flights it took to get home was something I had bought for myself.

Beautiful snails fun card love the happy colors and pretty sky, you know we eat them here in France...I've got plenty in my garden and when there are plenty that means it will be raining...to eat snails people capture them put them in a box and don't give them anything to eat for a while, and they will be washed several times, then they're cooked with garlic and butter and persil.
