This card was made for the Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge #315 (https://atlanticheartschallenge.blog...ketch-315.html) . In their challenge last week, I used four different embossing folders, and after gluing then to a single piece of cardstock, I cut out a panel from the center. This left me with beautiful left-over embossed pieces that I couldn't bare to throw away.
When I saw this week's challenge, right away I knew I wanted to incorporate those beautiful panels. I glued them together onto pink cardstock, then cut my 3-3/4"x 4-3/4" embossed panel. Where they joined, I covered with brown and pink ribbon that were attached with thin Scor-Tape to hold them in place on the bumpy background.
Using my bow-making tool, I tied a double-layer bow from the same ribbons. It is attached to the card front with Mini Glue Dots.
The sentiment is die cut using Sizzix dies from the same cardstock used for the card base and matting. I glued them together slightly offset so the brown formed a "drop shadow".
This is a perfect feminine birthday card! I am rating it's difficulty as a "2" out of a possible "5" due to the extra care I had to take fitting the embossed panels together to match the sketch.
