Felt good to be back in the stamp room again. Looking at my birthday calendar, I better be spending more time there these next few weeks.
Was at Hobby Lobby the other night looking at boxed greeting cards (Yikes! I know, right - just call it true confessions). Saw this birthday card that was printed with color blocks and gold HAPPY BIRTHDAY - looked great for guys. But I didn't like any of the other designs in the box, so I passed. But the idea stuck with me.
Die cut my red and navy "blocks" using an MFT die that I bought more years ago than I want to remember (or admit to). Never used before. The blocks were the perfect size to fit this trio of HAPPY stamps from Avery Elle. The stamps were NBUS items also, but owned WAY less time than the dies. Stamped them with Delicata Gold ink and embossed with Translucent Gold EP. Die cut 3 additional blocks from navy and red scraps found in my scrap stash and used them to add additional dimension.
Cut panel of Bazzill diamond bling just the slightest bit smaller than an A2 card. Adhered my color blocks using double faced tape. Stamped and embossed small sentiment from SSS. Adhered to card front.
Inside sentiment (from Hallmark software):
Hoping lots of little birthday moments make you feel as special as you are.
TFL!

I love your gold embossing. Thanks for including the details of how to achieve this. I would think it would be hard to do on the textured bazzill, but yours turned out beautifully. This is very elegant looking. (One can get great ideas looking at boxed cards!) You sure did!
