I made this card for the TLC740 Merging Backgrounds Challenge and I thought it would be easy! Well, I made 4 panels and wasn't really happy with any of them. I think I overthought it! Karen's card was so pretty and it was fun trying.
I stamped the white panel with 2 different backgrounds, 1/2 on one side and 1/2 on the other.
Then, I stamped and embossed my leaves. It looked very blah and flat to me so I stamped, embossed and fussy cut another leaf and used 3D dots to pop it up. I layered it onto blue green and light blue. It still seemed to need some pizzaz, so I added sequins.
I will try this technique again. Thanks Karen!

This is lovely, Gracie! The colors you used seem to be close to the ones for last week's color challenge too. I've been analyzing my background stamps for this challenge and haven't come up with anything I like just yet. I like the shine I see from the embossing and the sparkle of the sequins. Lovely!

Ooh, love the colour! And I like the choice of birch trees and leaves. Maybe that's the answer, use things that belong together. The popped up leaf is really effective.
