Hello Spring?

Photo Details
Poster: berlycece

I made this for yesterday's Free 4 All challenge, Is it Spring Yet? I decided to go to the Color Throwdown blog for a color combo (coral, green, blue, kraft) which I thought would work for spring. I sponged coral all over this embossed paper, but should have known adding green would make it look brown. Oh well, it blends with the card base! Plus, here in Illinois, the grass is still brown, and everything will be a bit muddy for a while. Spring, indeed!

I smiled when I read your description of your own card “a bit drab”. I smiled because whenever I use kraft color (and I use it quite a lot!), I always think after I’m done, gee, that’s a bit drab!!! Ha..we are our own worst critics. Your card didn’t look drab to me, not with that pretty pinky center section and those cheery blue flower centers!
It’s not spring where I live, either, so I join join in your frustration with this dreary post-winter-not-yet-spring time that we are in.
Fun card and I’m glad you posted it!

Yep, I think those colors are just fine for spring (and our grass is still dormant too where its peeking out of the snow)
soon, I tell my self, soon

Love this! The colors look great to me & I really like the embossed paper. Great take on the challenges.

Cute! Not drab. I like how you used the ribbon and the enamel dots in the flower centers. I have this stamp set and cannot remember ever using it. Love what you did with it here. A happy hello card for springtime! TFS
