I started to draw the sky line, then drew the waves coming on the beach, stamped the hippo on it's towel under the umbrella by masking technique, kept the whole mask to sponge with tissue and white spirit and wax crayons the beach the sky and the sea, then I colored hippo towel and umbrella, pierced holes on my waves and embroidered it, drew some clouds and embroidered them too and at last stamped the birds colored them and with white gel pen made all the doodling and effects where I wanted.
Layered this onto navy blue linen.

Your seagulls are pretty cute too Anita, not to mention the hippo. I just love the way you embroidered along the curve of the waves, so beautiful, and the clouds.
