I didn't get 'foiled' on today's WT because I've been absent for so long & today I cheated. This is also my 2nd attempt. You know where the first one is... I cheated because I used silver pearlescent paper. There's no foil in our cupboard!!! My first attempt was with blue foil paper - too black. I followed the Black Ice tutorial that Carla mentioned. I mounted onto white glitter paper then Night of Navy. I guess it's ok. I will try this again after I get some foil. I also think I need some new clear ep!
Thanks for a fun Ways to Use It challenge Carla & for listing the tutorials.
Thanks for stopping by.

Karen, your card could be a picture of the weather we are having today....snow, sleet, freezing rain. Love the card you created because it certainly has the feeling of that atmospheric condition. Trally SUPER!!

You didn't need to let us in on your secret...we would have never known ;) This is pretty with an intense snowy landscape (reminds me of our weather throughout all of Feb)...Good to see you in the gallery Karen.

When I featured Black Ice as a TLC I tried it on several different surfaces including foil, and to be honest the best effects I got were on metallic cards, so you weren't missing out by not having kitchen foil.. I think you got a great effect - and it's definitely a technique that requires a little practice to get right.

Pretty card, Karen. Improvising is not cheating! I'm so glad you played along and tried Black Ice with the pearlescent paper. Thanks for playing in my challenge.
