Last week a coworker's cat died, and this week a coworker's dog is dying. My frien, Liz, asked me if I could make the sympathy card before I leave for my business trip to Wisconsin tomorrow. I didn't have to search very far in Ankita's lovely gallery to find the perfect card to CASE. This doggy valentine was so sweet and then I found the perfect Bugaboo image with a flower in the dog's mouth instead of a heart. I loved the sweet stenciled background on Ankita's card, so I made my own with stenciled hearts in blue to carry out the blue sky that I colored in the image. I never think to use my stencils, but I love the look of them, so I'm very glad for that inspiration. In the end I felt like it needed something and I really liked the vellum banner, so I added a small vellum banner. Thanks for the inspiration, Ankita! I love your cards!

awwww, so sweet, so sad....it's the risk you take when you love an animal or anything for that matter....so you didn't make it last week? I hate to say it but you won't like it here. High of 11 tomorrow, so windy today. Hope it dies down by tomorrow.
