I love doing the IC challenge on Saturday morning with Lewis, my 3 yr old Grandson, but today Hollis (my almost 2 year old Grandson) wanted to play too. A first for us.
Lewis picked about 20 images we couldn't seem to figure out how to do, until we stumbled on this one by Michal Boubin:
Painted up Lewis' hand for the left one and then stamped the sentiment. It was easy and he laughed the whole time. He is patient WHEN we are doing art.
Hollis is not patient ever (unless he is eating a snack or watching Peppa Pig). His hand is one the card to the right. It was a struggle to get it on the paper instead of his shirt or my shirt. I realized you have to paint fast with him. It was fun! We are giving these to their Mother who is learning to be a certified Mentor - she can use them in her encouragements she sends out.
Many hugz

HOW SWEET!!!! You are SOME GRANDMOTHER to be SO PATIENT! It is a difficult thing to do MESSY with little ones! I'm SURE it was SUCH FUN to play with your grandson's doing these cards! You can tell them SOMEONE ELSE thinks their cards are SUPER NICE!!! I HOPE I am as patient with my grandchildren when they come! ;)

I love that you are doing arts and crafts with your grandsons. I started with my daughter and son when they were very young too.
If you think panit is difficult, I tried to make those plaster molds of my children's hand prints for a gift to my husband. My daughter the oldest went perfectly fine. My son was I think 6 months old. I couldn't hold him and get his hand to spread out to make the print in the mold. I had to get my husband to help me. I said "You have to help me make your present. When you see what I am doing you will understand".
He laughed and it actually took both of us to open his little hand for the print. He did not couporated at all!
You should make a couple more hand prints and frame them. I still have the plastic molds of my children's hand prints and they are now 21 and 19 years old.
Well that was a long comment. I love your hand print cards!

Nancy, you are having so much fun with those grands. I loved reading your post about crafting with them. Their mom will love cards of their little handprints. Inspiration was nailed.

Just let me say I stopped short when you used the word "grandson." I thought you surely meant son! As I read on it was apparent that you did mean grandson, but I would never in all of creation believe you were old enough. Your avatar is beautiful and so are the hand-print cards!
