This card is for Ina's challenge to use scraps and die cuts out of stash. This challenge was perfect for me as I'm a hoarder and keep everything.....just in case...and usually it finds its way onto a mixed media page. I love putting strips of paper or ribbon...anything behind negative spaces.
I have lots of negative die cuts and especially of butterflies. I found a purple piece and starting choosing appropriate strips of paper out of my stash, including bits from the toilet roll challenge last year lol. The spotty piece is one that I stamped for another challenge last year and the others were made by me and my DGD using my gel plate months ago....I knew the strips would come in one day.
Pieces stuck on the back of the butterfly negative. It didn't grab me until I spotted a white butterfly negative in my bag of scraps and pasted that on top. Bling added and I was just about to stick it down when I spotted a border I had cut and not used. Done. It came together very easily.
Thanks Ina for a great challenge....I've got 3 more negative die cuts just sitting on my table waiting to become cards.
Tfl. Happy day

Jayne, this is a fabulous butterfly. I love the strips of colour, especially the gel plate pieces. I need to dig mine out and do some more of that. Maybe I'll do some with grandkids, like you did. This is a really eye catching card. I love it.
