I made a succulent card the other day and I had that on the brain. When I saw today's challenge to go dotty I thought of a very clean card with stenciled dots as a bg for another succulent. Well, didn't end up quite as clean in the end, but I just couldn't stop. I started with a 5x7 3/4 whit panel.with the modeling paste dots stenciled on. While that was drying I tackled my succulents cutting two in Artichoke and another in Olive. I still had my acetate piece from the other day with White reinker added to Olive. I moistened it up again and dipped my leaves in. I also smooshed some Plum mixed with white and later some straight Eggplant on to add more to the leaves. On the Olive one, I picked up some Cherry Cobbler also. I also sponged a bit of white and spattered a bit of the inks along the way. There is a dimensional in the olive center as well as behind my torn sentiment. Threw some twine on for a bit more texture.
I love this sentiment which reminds me of an old story where an old, wise man tells of the two dogs fighting within him. One dog encourages negatives thoughts, feelings and actions while the other encourages positive. When asked, "Which dog will win?" the man says, "Whichever dog I feed." Working on feeding my hopes not my fears!!!!

Yes, I loved that sentiment, too, and when I read about the old, wise man I loved it even more. Wonderful card and you did a good job with those pretty succulents. That is a wonderful stencil...thought you had embossed the white panel until I read.

Your textured dots look just super, Gail. The twine looks great too. So funny because I was looking at this very stamp set today and nearly used this sentiment, but went for another one in the end.
