I began this card by creating a layered inked background, which was inspired by one of Jennifer McGuire's videos in which she demonstrated the technique. I used a combination of stamping with background stamps and inking with a sponge dauber on the background to get the layered effect on ivory cardstock. I used a border die to cut the row of hearts. After heat-embossing the "You Make Me Smile" sentiment and hearts, I sprayed the background piece with a shimmer spray. I then added the die cut hearts and Friend sentiment on top, popping up the word with craft foam.
