Today we are celebrating Lori (ArtzadoniStudio)! I love "bumping" into Lori when we play the same challenges! She has a colorful gallery! I found THIS gorgeous piece of art in her gallery.
My card started out as one of the Oxidized Shaving Cream backgrounds I did a while back. I made a LOT of backgrounds that day! I took the previously made bg and added Broken China Distress Ink to the top of the layer by stamping the ink on plastic packaging, spritzing with water and then rubbing the watery ink on the upper portion of the cardstock. The same technique as Smackin' Acetate but with Distress Inks. If there is a technique in our forums that is the same but uses distress ink, please let me know
Once the background was dry, I stamped the Lemon Grass on the lower portion and added the beautiful My Prayers sentiment.

so nicely done, Angie! And I think I'd missed your inspiration in Lori's gallery. I especially like the kraft elements that allow your colors to shine.

Such an uplifting card, Angie. Beautiful bg (I happen to love blue and green mixed)! Or maybe it's blue and yellow, which creates green. In any case, your bg is stunning!

Oh, the day I am having!!!! Angie, I knew exactly which card you chose and it's one of my favorites and never would have happened if it weren't for SCS's challenges. You obviously nailed it and have touched my heart. Combining the two BG techniques is brilliant and a great tribute. Thank you so much! Here's to "bumping" into each other even more this year

See I would never think to take one background made with a technique and apply a whole different technique to it. Brilliant! What a gorgeous result! Really just a stunning card, Angie!
