I was inspired to make these cards through the Altenew Class âLet It Shineâ and my desire to finally use my embossing folders.
The punched-out and coloured motives of the card are so vivid that you could use the embossed background paper without doing anything to it. Or you could colour the embossing folder inside with distress ink and add a spray of water before adding the paper. But this time I wanted to try embossing a lightly textured paper and I was excited by the result.
And now about the class âLet It Shineâ. I really enjoyed it. Especially one idea I would never have come to. Carissa Wiley, the leader of the course, used a Wink of Stella Brush Glitter Marker Clear and Spectrum Noir Sparkle Clear Marker to colour the motives instead of using a normal waterbrush pen filled with water. I tested both markers and both worked very well. I used distress inks (pressing them on an acrylic block) to color with the glitter markers and the tip of the markers became clean again.
Wowww, everything was glittering. I was astonished that the colours flowed so softly over the paper.
