Get Well Jar

Made for Retro Rubber Challenge Blog #98 (#rrcb9: https://www.retrorubberchallengeblog...l-harvest.html where the theme was 'fall harvest". The challenge also requires that you use a stamp that is over a year old - mine is a 1994 Stampin' Up! (SU) set called "Jar of Fun".

I stamped the jar, flowers and stem using Memento Tuxedo Black ink onto watercolor paper using my MISTI to align the three pieces. The flowers, leaves and stems where hand colored using SU Stampin' Write markers (Yoyo Yello, Peakaboo Peach, Creamy Caramel, Wild Wasabi, and Green Gable).

The water in the jar was colored using SU Pool Party ink with an Aqua Painter water brush. The surface under and around the jar were water colored with SU Bermuda Bay and Smoky slate inks.

The ribbon was created using a narrow yellow ribbon glued (using a Recollections tape runner) onto a wider piece of brown ribbon. These were then glued to the SU Chocolate Chip main panel using the tape runner again.

The tiny "Get Well" sentiment was with a 2002 SU stamp (unknown set name). If anyone knows the stamp set name, please let me know!. It was stamped on a scrap piece of SU So Saffron, and cut out using paper snips. The bow was made using the same layered ribbon, and tied using a "Bow Easy" tool. The tag and bow were attached using Mini Glue Dots.

I haven't used this stamp set in a long-g-g-g time, so it was great to see that it met the fall theme for this week's challenge!

I am rating this card's difficulty level as a "2" out of a possible "5" due to the need to align the three stamps perfectly. Happy fall!!!
