| | I made this card for 2 challenges. The first challenge is for this week's Teapot Tuesday challenge. Jan (aka Precious Kitty) is our guess hostess and she chose the theme of Lacy Loveliness. How fun! I knew immediately I was going to use my SU Grateful Bunch stamp set. I was trying to figure out how to fit this card into the Alphabet challenge for this week when I realized that Asters are fall flowers. So, I took the large daisy stamp and stamped it once, then offset it and stamped it again to achieve the look of an aster. I used my MISTI stamping tool to get the lace borders all even on the cardstock. When all the stamping was done, the white cardstock looked too white so I did some light sponging with TH antique linen distress ink and that was just what was needed. The card still needed something though so I thought a nice lace edge to go with some ribbon would be nice. I punched one long edge, then I trimmed my cs down and punched the other long edge with the other punch. Tied a bow and ran the ribbon through the slots. This card took a bit of planning to do, but was very fun to make. Thank you Jan for a terrific Teapot Tuesday challenge this week that also enabled me to make my alphabet challenge card too. Thanks for looking today! ~Karen |
