A few weeks ago, I volunteered at the Old Falls Village in town, a collection of old buildings brought to one site (note for Harley enthusiasts: the main building on the site is the Miller-Davidson House, yes, the Davidson of Harley Davidson). The event was for a group of YMCA day campers, ages 4-13. I was in the old school house, circa 1851 and the older kids were asked to write their name in cursive. Oh my, the groans and wailing. They've learned it but they're not using it. Sign of the times, I guess.
I had bought a book of fonts so I used that to help me write 'fall'. I will keep working on the letter press technique. It worked but as the paper dried, I felt it went away a bit. More pressure I think. Tomorrow is the first day of meteorological fall, according to meteorologists. But it will be muggy and steamy here all week so....still summer in my book.

I love those leaves. I just commented on someone else's card that when we were in school and learning to transition from script to joined-up cursive, mine was so bad that my teacher told me to stick with script. Your "fall" is beautiful!
