I focused on Beth's:
-black background
-birthday theme
-colourful sentiment
-dry embossed polka dots
I changed:
-no image
-inlaid die technique
-layout
I love the look of bright colours on a black background and this simple card was pretty easy to make - I cut the die with white and coloured it with Copics. I then cut it out of a black panel and inlaid the coloured die cut into it. Before I adhered the panel to my white card base, I dry embossed it with an old Cuttlebug embossing folder.

This is one COOL birthday card!!! I can imagine that anyone including teens and guys of all ages would love it--just thinking that for me, those groups are the toughest to make cards and with this one, you've nailed it!!! The rainbow happy birthday adds fantastic color and the texture of the EF in black really makes the sentiment pop. SO beautiful!!!

Loving this card! You have inspired me right back to work more with black backgrounds. The coloring on the "Happy Birthday" is amazing and I love that you followed the rainbow.
Thanks for sharing your work and for playing along as well.
