This card was made as a Design Team inspiration for Try Stampin' on Tuesday sketch challenge #379 with the optional theme "fall favorites": https://trystampinontuesday.blogspot.com
I usually don't sent fall cards, but I do have some friends and relatives who have birthdays in the fall, so I will stamp a sentiment later when I decide to whom I am going to send it.
The card base is A2 size (8.5"x 5.5" folded in half) made from Stampin' Up! (SU) Cajun Craze cardstock. The three vertical panels at the bottom of the card, and the horizontal "corn" design paper are from the 2014 retired SU "Color Me Autumn" designer series paper.
The embellishment in the top center was made by stamping the oak leaf image from the 2006 retired SU "Fantastic Foliage" stamped with SU Early Espresso ink. The three colors of SU cardstock used were chosen for their fall foliage tones: Old Olive, Calypso Coral, Hello Honey. The "Crinkled Cardstock" technique is really simple - just cut out your image, then crush, crumple, squeeze and ball up your cutout until it's very "crinkled". Then straighten it out just enough to attach to your card... don't straighten it too much or you will lose the crinkled effect. I attached my cluster of three crinkled oak leaves with a Mini Glue Dot each. Then I used the retired SU "Autumn Wooden Elements" embellishments that I had colored with brown markers to look more realistic. I set the acorn back into its cutout sleeve for contrast. The acorn and leaves were tied together with SU Linen Thread that I had unraveled the ends to make it look more rustic.
This is a really easy card, so I am rating it a difficulty level of "1" out of a possible "5". There were no hard steps at all! Happy fall!
