Yay!!! My friend Anne just finished her last chemo treatment! So I sent this card with the sentiment “ toes in the grass, shade of a tree” with the inside saying “find a few moments to just sit back and rest your eyes”. The stamp set also had a nice sentiment about toes in the sand, but we both live in south central PA where trees and grass are in abundance but sand is definitely not. Anne is a flower and bird lover and enjoys sitting in her garden having some quiet prayer time, so I know this card suits her.
For this card I created a mask by stamping the chair on printer paper, fussy cutting (very minimally), and sparsely placing Tombow glue on the back. When the glue dries it is repositional. After stamping the chair, I masked the bg then went to town with my new Catherine Pooler inks. I am really loving her inks! They blend beautifully, stay wet just long enough to add ep and emboss, and seemed to do well with my SN markers (that I used to add contrast to my tree leaves as well as the grass and sprig clumps). No, this is not a paid advertisement... haha! TFL

Oh, sweet Angie, this is indeed a time of celebration for your friend Anne! She certainly should enjoy enjoying time in the shade in a beautiful chair feeling her toes in the wonderful grass! What a beautiful job you've done with this card, and thanks for the great "review" of Catherine Pooler inks. I've heard a lot of them (one from another friend), and they are tempting. Will have to check them out. Hugs and love, sweet friend! xoxo
