This card was made for two weekly challenges:

The Paper Players Celebration Theme Challenge #400: https://thepaperplayers.blogspot.com...enge-with.html

- and -

Freshly Made Sketches Challenge #345: http://freshlymadesketches.blogspot....ch-by-jen.html

The card base is a standard A2 size (4.5"x 11" folded in half to create a top-fold card) cut from Stampin' Up! Cherry Cobbler cardstock. The main panel is SU Whisper White cut 4"x 5.25".

In celebration of "The Paper Players" 400th blog posting, the theme this week was "celebration". I remembered the retired 2012 SU "Happy Hour" stamp set that had all kinds of celebratory drink glasses, so used those to stamp in Memento Jet Black the four glasses near the top of my white panel.

I then stamped each glass on a scrap piece of Whisper White cardstock in the appropriate colors - a tropical drink in SU Groovy Guava, an appletini martini in SU Certainly Celery, a glass of champagne in SU Barely Banana, and a glass of red wine in SU Rich Razzleberry. Using a small paper snips, I cut out the "liquid" portion of each glass, and glued it over it's matching black image on the white panel using Tombow glue. Be sure to dry-fit each cut out drink and trim as needed so your liquid doesn't cover the glass outlines.

The sentiment is the word "celebrate" cut using the QuicKutz "Basic Phrases" die set. I cut the word from SU Groovy Guava cardstock, SU Cherry Cobbler cardstock, and a sheet of white Puffy Foam. The red word was glued to the back of the peach colored word, offsetting the red so it showed to the right and under the peach word. I then glued the Puffy Foam word to match up underneath the red word. This off setting and raising up with the foam gave the sentiment more interest and depth.

The sentiment was glued to the card front diagonally under the line of drink glasses per the Freshly Made sketch for the week. The sketch also called for a thin vertical stripe on the left side of the card, so I chose a colorful design of Washi Tape made by Scotch that I ran from top to bottom of the white panel, but then using an Xacto-knife, trimmed around the tall cocktail glass so the tape appeared to run "behind" the glass.

The final step was to glue the main panel to the card base using Tombow glue.

I think this card will be great for just about any adult celebratory occassion... anniversaries, a career accomplishment, or a new grandchild.

I am rating the difficulty level for this car as a "2" out of "5", primarily because of the exact cutting that needs to be done for the liquid in the glasses.

Congrats to "The Paper Players" on your 400th blog!
