TLC693 = crayon resist I didn't have a white crayon and used a birthday candle....figuring, wax is wax.
Once I started sponging the bg water, I could see that I hadn't been too careful with the candle and had white spaces. Too late....and I liked what I saw and went with it. I watercolored over the sponged color and added a few white highlights with acrylic.

Sallie - this is beautiful. Yes, I've used a candle too - with better results than some crayons! I love the texture in the base matching the ripples in the image panel.

Wax is wax.......perfect choice to use a candle. Love that koi and the bg.
