Stacy chose a lovely site for the Inspiration Challenge & I had fun strolling thru the amazing gallery & chose THIS as my inspiration.
To make my card, I made a watercolor bg w/ yellows & a little orange. After it dried, I placed it in my Misti & stamped the vases several times to get good coverage on the w/c paper. I used a paintbrush & clear water to remove most of the yellow from the lg flower on the vase then added the pinky red color. I used paint that had dried in my palette & I guess it had some iridescent w/c medium in it because the flowers have some sparkle now. The other little flowers were done the same way on a leftover piece of the bg & I fussy cut them.
Thanks so much for looking. Closeups & the inside are on my blog:The Write Stuff

I giggled that your bloom is sparkly in real life. ( that happens frequently to me) I also love all the layers of texture and that you got the sentiment so perfect on that textured frame too Julie

LOVE EVERYTHING about this card, Julie! The white linen framing is such a great texture for your beautiful black outline bases with their pop of color blossoms. LOVE that richly colored watercolor background...love your patterned effect achieve on that background! FABULOUS!
