This is one of two cards made for the current Teapot Tuesday challenge to create comfort for the Clendenning family who recently experienced the tragic loss of a young child. It'll be in the mail tomorrow.
As many others joining this challenge have noted, quilts can be a great source of comfort, so I thought I would use an old a technique to create a quilted look with small die cut or punched squares adhered to a panel, then die cut with a Top Note die. Both the Top Note and the square dies had stitched borders, which I thought were a nice touch for a sewn look. The die cut was added to the woodgrain card base, topped with a bit of lace, then the layered hearts popped up with foam tape.
Thanks for looking!
Stef

Oh Stef, this is so beautiful. I love the papers you have used here. I agree, quilts are the ultimate of comfort and you have achieved that here. The added lace and heart.....perfection!!!

Your quilt card is really beautiful Stef and very comforting too. I adore the stitched top note die and squares you used - this adds that wonderful touch of stitching to your quilt that I love. I also love the woodgrain bg and touch of lace too! ~Karen.
