Today's FS is Connie, conniecrafter, chosen by Judy. I wasn't familiar with Connie's gallery & I really enjoyed perusing through it. Unfortunately I need a sympathy card & I kept coming back to this one in her gallery.
I kept the same layout & changed;
- images
- butterfly to a bird
- ink colors
I made masks with post-its using a deckel edge on my cutter. I sponged in right to left straight lines, first with Indigo, then Plum, the Pink. I stamped the image using my MISTI & the sentiment. I also sponged black under the image - the stamp just didn't take over the mask. Punched the bird from blue vellum & I think my vellum tape is getting old, as you can see it now & it's kind of yellowed. I used Close as a Memory for the inside & this goes to my old boss on the loss of her MIL.
CONGRATULATIONS Connie. Enjoy your week & the cards made in your honor.
Thanks for stopping by.

Karen, this is beautiful! What a wonderful card to CASE! I love the wonderful gradations of colors and how you've added the bird! So serene and such a perfect card for someone in need of encouragement and comfort! Hugs, sweet friend!

I knew exactly what card you chose, Karen. Your case is wonderfully done. I love the bird.
