I was delighted to see the lovely Lily of the Valley teapot Anita shared with us for this week's May Flowers Teapot Tuesday challenge. My mother always used to use lily of the valley soap, and in honour of her and May Day, when I got home from work today I used a little Diorissimo perfume which I got her not long before she died Not much left in the bottle now!! Sheesh, it's just as well that work means perfume is a rare treat for me because I couldn't believe the price it is nowadays!
Anyway, also as a memory of my mother I had bought this lily of the valley die a couple of years back, so it was perfect to pull out (I have used the same stamp as Polly, and a Scripture verse, on the inside.
The background is a stencil monoprint using Twisted Citron DOX and a Sweet Dixie stencil, and I used the negative of a grass border die-cut to sponge in the grass with a couple of green distress inks.
I cut the flower twice and an extra set of bells, which I shaped with my stylus. Sponged the stems and leaves with DOX inks and assembled them onto the base with a little foam tape, and some SN clear glitter pen to make all the bells sparkle.
I added the birthday sentiment for Eleanor and a little ladybird for a pop of colour, and then it still seemed to call for something else, so I stamped a butterfly on vellum, embossed with gold, and coloured from behind with Sharpies.
If you'd like to join us in making a 90th birthday special, check out the challenge link at the top of my write-up.

Just beautiful, Sabrina. The stenciled background in that shade of yellow is so pretty behind the die cut lilies - I love the way you shaped the bells. That is a wonderful die cut. The little butterfly that you embossed, painted and cut out is just a perfect touch! My mother had lilies of the valley growing in her garden - I always loved the scent.
