A second card for Jayne's (Ozpom) challenge to create flowers with a stamp other than a floral stamp. I am using up items from my stash. I had a panel that I was playing with oxide distress inks for a challenge quite awhile ago (can't remember which one) and did not get the expected results. But I do like the colours. I also had a bunch of butterflies that were already coloured. I had made a card with some butterfly pansies before and had punched and coloured extra butterflies, as i had borrowed the punch from my neighbour. When Jayne posted this challenge, I thought of these pansies right away, but thought they were stamped, and did not realize they ere punched until the card was finished. So I am cheating a bit. As I mentioned, the butterflies were coloured and dried, and I misted them with water, crumpled then in my fist and straightened them a bit and let them dry. Then they were placed at right angles to each other, hole punched in the middle and held together with a yellow brad. Added some foliage, and a sentiment.

You are so clever to make flowers from butterflies! They really look like pansies, too. How lovely. Wonderful background. I like the sentiment. Nicely done. Good to see you in the gallery. TFS

Ina, definitely not cheating....the challenge was to use anything other than a floral stamp/die and you used a butterfly punch...it's perfect. I love everything about it and it's straight into my faves. Awesome...I have lots of butterfly punches and am going to try mine out too.
Thanks for playing again and I love to see everyone thinking about their stash and what they can use in a different way. TFS Happy day
