Today's theme is - the beautiful poppy. I used a paper from a new stack. Stamped the words and cut into a banner, adding a bow.
When I saw the challenge I had to smile - in our village we are making poppies from recycled bottles. They will be painted red, and will flood the grassy banks, gardens and fences to commemorate 100 years since The Armistice in 1918. We have cut over 2000 poppies so far .... many more to go!

Gorgeous card, Sandie. I love that paper. I really love your story - how fun is that to celebrate this event this way.

Beautiful card and I also like your story and would love to see your banks of coloured bottles. In the SW here they had a whole display of poppies on the beach a few years ago and I got some wonderful photos. Everyone was invited to add one...was awesome to see. TFS Happy day

A beautiful card, and that sentiment is a powerful one. Yes, Sandie, you will have to post a picture of these pretty poppies that are being made from bottles. How heartwarming it is to hear of those who are making these for this wonderful celebration.

Oh - what a wonderful project your village has undertaken!! I would LOVE to see a picture of the hillside ablaze with hand made poppies! That sentiment is perfect to illustrate your field of poppies in the bg.
