The slider for this card was made by cutting a piece of card stock 1/4 inches shorter than the width of the card, as wide as the "Happy Birthday" stamp was high, but with 3/8 inch extra width at either side of the inside end to keep the slider from coming out all the way. The slit was cut in a position to keep the "Happy Birthday" covered when the slide was in, about 1/8 inch longer than the slider is wide. After the slider was positioned, the little flagman was glued to the outside end and a sheet of card stock the size of the card was glued to the inside to cover up the "wrong" end of the slider.
