This is my entry for the Gilded Faux Silk technique challenge. I followed the directions from the linked tutorial on the TLC page and actually made six backgrounds. I amazed myself. :-) This technique makes a wonderfully tactile background and looks so much better in real life than in a photograph. Thanks so much for the challenge!

It looks pretty spectacular on screen. The two times I've tried it, I found it just as easy to make a half sheet and get two backgrounds - to go for six you must really have been having fun.

This is an icy winter wonderland with the silver gilding over the cool greens & blues. Those snow white die cuts finish the look to perfection.

Oh my goodness, Ann! This card is so striking with the gorgeous Gilded Faux Silk background!! I love it!!! The large sentiment and die cut houses are fantastic! Great piece of art!!
