This was a totally new technique to me and I loved how this turned out, unfortunately I don't got silver embossing powder so used gold instead, I stamped all the flowers with 3 colors of ink, followed the step by step from the tutorial, die cut an owl sponged it with gold pigment stamped the sentiment punched a hole and used a square punch for the other side to make it look like a tag
I'm not sure you can see the shine of this card but it's really shiny in real life

Oh, I don't think the colour matters so long as it's metallic! I used silver the first time I tried it, but gold today. The shimmer and shine is beautiful, and the colours in the background are great with that owl.

I think this turned out fabulously!! As Sabrina mentioned I don't think it mattered what colour the embossing powder was. Love the owl die cut by the way and with that little touch of gold it looks perfect!

Your bg colors work much better with gold gilding so you made a good choice - That die cut owl is really cool and the extra cutoust let even more of your pretty bg shine through.

What a splendid background for your lovely owl! I think he looks great sponged with gold! I think gold is the perfect choice for the colours in your background!
