This is my last card for the week and is for this weeks colour challenge.
I'm quite please with the end result although there is always room for improvement.
I first printed off the image in fact I had done that for our VSN lol. I re-sized it slightly so there wasn't quite so much open space at the top and bottom and then I masked the flowers, I didn't worry about the leaves or stems.
I slapped some Dapper Denim ink from the ink pad onto a sheet of baking paper and squirted it liberally with water until all the ink had beaded. I then slapped my card front down making sure the area that had the thickest saturation of ink was furthest away from the masked image.
I wriggled the card front around to spread the wet ink then tapped the edge onto some paper towel to take up the excess, I then let it sit for about two minutes then placed some paper towel over the top and patted the surface. The masking was quite wet and stained from the ink but did not let any colour through and was easy to remove.
Once this was done I left the card to dry naturally (a couple of hours)
To colour the flowers I scribbled some SU Fresh Fig onto the gloss tile and picked the colour up with my aqua brush. I did a very pale wash over all the flowers avoiding the centres of the ones with stamen. I then went over the flowers picking up more colour to give them a little more definition but it was all very loose. Lastly I added the Lemon lime Twist to the centres the leaves and the stems.
The last thing before I slapped it all together was to stamp the greeting. The greeting is an old 2004 "Stampendous" wood mounted greeting that I quite like.
I haven't bought wood mounted stamps for years and have discovered that they are quite easy to demount, the glue has become very tacky so they attach to the "Misti" quite well. This stamp actually has two more lines that read "and chocolate" but I didn't want that so cut these two lines off, put them back on the block and stamped with the remainder then replaced the rest of the stamp back onto the block in the exact position it was originally and without close inspection you would never know the stamp had been tampered with lol.....and that's pretty much it folks have a wonderful inky week.

Wow, wow, wow,...Margs...you've blown me away again. I love, love your card. The colouring of your flowers, the sentiment, the slapping, squirting of the blue...all of it. Scrumptious. TFS my friend over East. Happy day and hugs
