I decided to join the Christmas Card Challenge again. When I did it a number of years ago....I was able to get quite a few cards done. It kept me on a schedule.
The suggested theme for the Christmas Card Challenge was a silhouette image on our cards. I've been wanting to use this stamp for quite some time. I saw this one done on Pinterest by Karen (http://karenskreativekards.blogspot.....html?spref=pi) So I used her card to get me inspired to do my own card.
I did the window with Versamark ink and then used fine silver embossing powder. Set it aside while I used the silver glitter wrapping paper in my embossing folder. I decided to trim it down to make it look better on the card. I did discover that this wrapping paper is great to emboss. The only thing was the Martha Stewart embossing folder was a little thicker than the ones I normally use in my Cuttlebug. So, I used my rubber bad and two pieces of thin cardboard (what dies are attached). Didn't use another "B" plate on top. Just ran it through this way. Yes, it was time consuming for the first but, the rest of them have gone rather quickly!
I then inked up the stamp again...this time with the Memento Tuxedo Black on stamped on white. I did some shading on the cat and colored the bow with my prisma pencils. I got busy and did a fussy cut on the cat and the window. I could have used pop up dots....but, decided that this would be easier to mail with it laying flatter.
Thanks for popping in for a look!

I love the embossed window and snowstorm! the Cat looking out is a great focal point! The silver paper is a stunning background with the embossed pattern on it!
