It is an immense pleasure to case a card of Karen's (Art Deco Diva), the Featured Stamper for this week! She is the most kind and caring individual, and her artwork is outstanding. Congratulations, Karen, for being the Featured Stamper this week; a recognition you so deserve!
The only similarity between our cards is the gorgeous Hero Arts Cardinal. Her card includes different colors, embossing, and stamp. To create my card, I stamped with VersaMark ink the Gina K Designs grouping of trees and heat embossed them with a sparkly embossing power. I sponged Gina K Designs blue ink to create the sky and snow banks (which are difficult to see). I die cut this piece at an angle with an oval die.
Subsequently, I cut a piece of white card stock and dry embossed it with an old Sizzix Impressions Plate. I covered the dry embossed piece with VersaMark Ink, spread a sparkly embossing powder over the piece, and applied a heat gun. Unfortunately, it's difficult to see both. IRL, it is quite sparkly.
I die cut the center of the dry and heat embossed panel with an oval die at an angle. I attached this piece to the card base and placed the tree scene within the oval. I die cut several eyelet ovals and attached them over the original die cut oval. The rest is self-explanatory.
Again, congratulations, sweet Karen!!
Thanks for stopping by and commenting!

P.S. I am submitting this card for the January 2018 Christmas Challenge.

I am so delighted to see this stunning card of yours in the gallery Bev! You took the inspiration card and truly ran with it my friend. I adore this gorgeous oval and how you positioned it at an angle- I think that is brilliant! The bright winter scene placed inside the oval panel really showcases your gorgeous cardinal so beautifully. The 2-tone pine branches are fabulous and so is your sparkly embossed bg. I am truly impressed with this gorgeous card Bev! Thank you so much for your kind words and for playing along today- this really means a lot to me! Hugs! ~Karen.

I knew just which card you chose when I opened your card. That Hero Arts cardinal is just gorgeous! And your wintry scene in the tilted oval is beautiful, I'm sure it is wonderfully sparkly in real life. Beautiful card!

First, let me congratulate you Bev for becoming the newest Dirty Girl! What a wonderful deserving honor! Your talent is outstanding and inspiring!!
Your cheerful Christmas card is a fabulous take on Karen’s card. Love the crisp white with the red cardinal & blue sky! I really how you slanted the oval frame in the design.

Bev, this is a spectacular case of Karen's fabulous card. I would never have thought to tilt the oval and I just looked again and it is an eyelet oval, which is beautiful. Great thinking outside of the box with tilting it. The straight line Merry Christmas balances this all so well. Just love your little snowy trees. I love red cardinals too. You and Karen are wonderful card makers!
