Not all memories are good ones but they are certainly ones that will stay engrained in your brain forever. Harvey hit Texas, but the good from it all was seeing everyone rallying to help others through the flood and taking others into their homes, and all the love that is still out there between people. The Houston Proud movement began and it climaxed with the Astros winning the World Series. What a triumph that brought our city! Memories might get us down, but they don't take us out!!!! Texas Strong!!

So true!! What a great case of love was found in Texas and I'm so proud of it too even though I don't live there. We rooted for the Astros as well! We were so proud and even a bit amazed that they won over the overly paid Dodgers mega team! Hey, like my DH and I say, you can't BUY the world series!! Oh sorry, as Susie says, I digress!
Your card is a perfect representation of Harvey!
Thanks so much for playing!

Very moving write up, Liz, and you're creative depiction of this awful event is amazing. I saw all the trucks submerged in water on the news, but your card makes me think of all the trucks used to safe and help others., wonderful die cut a and papers that you chose.

Now that is a memory for sure! It is so heartwarming to see everyone rally together in time of disaster--reminds you that people are really good. And, yes, we all were rooting for your Astros. Texas strong, indeed! Love your card, Liz.

Yikes, Liz! We have friends who also live in Houston and had to evacuate. I must say, there were wonderful stories of the way your city came together for one another!
I love your waves cut from the differing papers and that truck being submerged is certainly creative - hope that didn't happen to your vehicles!

You are so right not all memories are good but so many did help Harvey families and so happy to see some good of the things that others are doing to help. Super card.

I'm glad you got through that one okay, Liz. I can't imagine how scary it was at the time but we were all praying so hard for you all. Gotta love Texans, you all have such heart and grit! Great card to represent that hard to ever forget time.

Harvey is not a name likely to be forgotten any time soon. It is hard to see people go through what the people of Texas went through in Harvey, and it is exciting to hear how proud Texans still feel after all they went through- how inspiring! You made a terrific card to commemorate what happened during Hurricane Harvey. Hugs! ~Karen.
