Such fun! I'm joining in on the Dirty Dozen Christmas Challenge! My little Crafting Castle fits in nicely w/ this month's challenge. I colored it w/ Copics then made a couple of backgrounds using 2 different techniques.
For the large ribbon bg, I used a technique I learned years ago & I thought there was a tutorial here but I cannot find it. Anyway...you take an acrylic brayer, wrap it w/ a couple of different sizes of rubber bands, then roll it across an ink pad (I used a multi color pad), then roll it across your paper. For the embossed white bg, I used a piece of plastic cross stitch canvas to dry emboss it. It helps to mist the paper w/ water first.
The greeting tag, a die cut bow & some punched holly were added to finish. Be sure to check out the challenge & we'd love for you to join in! And you'd have the bonus of knocking out a some Christmas cards for next year!
Thanks so much for looking & Happy New Year! My blog: The Write Stuff

Oh, Julie, what a sweet and darling crafting castle, and we could all join in and make Christmas cards there! I love the techniques you've used for the self-made DP and the embossed piece. Very clever! I love it! Warm hugs! xoxo

Julie this is colorful and fun. I like the little houses, they make me think of my mom's set she has. The traditional colors is wonderful, super fun card!

Oh, I love everything about this from the wonderful brayered bg to a Crafting Castle. Now that would be the place for this princess for sure. I love it.
