I'm finally getting last Wednesday's alphabet challenge card completed. We are on the letter K and the k in my card are keys...as in piano keys. The double challenge was to try the faux patina technique which I did on my background.
First I followed the instructions in the tutorial to make the faux patina panel. Then I stamped my image and trimmed it with the oval framelit, fussy cutting a black mat for it.
I colored the image with Prismacolor pencils but decided to heat emboss the harp so it would be a pretty gold. I popped the image panel and the sentiment up with dimensionals. The faux patina was fun to do and reminds me of some of the old player pianos I've seen so it seemed appropriate for these cute House Mouse musical mice. It was a fun card to make.
Thanks for looking!

What a wonderfully fun birthday card this is Catherine! Your bg turned out so beautifully and really draws your eye right to your fun image panel. I love your gold-embossed harp, and this little band of mice- adorable! Everything about your card is done to the 9's and will be so appreciated by whomever the recipient is! ~Karen.
