I made this Halloween card for two of my friends when I realized my bewitching kitty works for the letter K alphabet challenge (for kitty). I simply could not come up with a Halloween card this year for anything. So finally I stamped out this kitty image and the cauldron and colored them in with copic markers. I added clear stickles to the kitty's robe and to the gold brew in the cauldron and I set these pieces aside to dry. There is a lot of masking done on the image piece. A circle is cut for the moon, then I used the negative circle space to sponge in the yellow for the moon. I also made a mask of the kitty so as not to get yellow on him. Then I removed these masks and put the circle and kitty masks in place and masked the blue around everything. Cut the window die out and lightly sponged black ink around the edges to grunge it up a bit. Fussy cut out the cauldron and stamped and fussy cut the sentiment banner. The scene still needed something so I added these bats into the scene, then I took a jellyroll stardust pen and added in a few stars for some fun and whimsy. I did not want this Halloween card to be too spooky or scary . Thanks for looking today. ~Karen.

Oh my goodness, what an amazing job you have done with this fabulous card. You are truly an artist. I so love the your coloring and your attention to detail is amazing! I'm waiting to see if that frog is going to fall into the boiling cauldron or not. The kitty on the broom is adorable. My, I could look at this for a long time! Wonderful card!

Karen this is just the best. So fun and whimsical. I don't think I have words to describe how neat this Halloween and K card is. I think the cat image is just great. Love your idea of seeing him/her through the window frame. Congrats on getting faved with this one. Very richly deserved. Love the dsp. and the addition of the cauldron with the frog. I think you did indeed come up in spades to get a Halloween card done this year. I think there is at least one falliday challenge you could add this to. See FF17TexasGrammy 10/10. You will have until midnight on Oct. 31st to enter this. Go for it girlfriend. I think there is a current challenge for fussy cutting this week. I don't think it is a falliday one, but you could still post this card to that one as well.
Oh, my goodness! Love your kitty in the window! Great job with all the masking and fussy cutting! Love the bats and the frog. Great whimsical card, Karen.
