This was a timely challenge to-day. I have been making these little cards and envelopes for my sweet DDIL who teaches junior classes at a local public school. She uses a lot of these to write encouraging little messages for her pupils when they deserve a lift. I used double-sided 4 x 6 index cards folded in half for the base then added some washi tape for decoration (the 'ruler tape' came from a school supply catalogue). I have no idea where the sentiment came from..probably a 'give away' at a stamp show or store. I use DP scraps and my punch board for the envelopes. All the kids know she has hairless cats for pets so I added some little 'cat prints' to the envy and an A+ in red grease pencil..just to let the little kiddies know she still has a red marker! LOL

What sweet cards for an amazing cause. Kids need all the encouragement they can get.

These are adorable and you're a lovely MIL to make them. I love the smell of books too, a trip to the library or an old bookstore is such a sensory treat
