Well, hello, sweet friends! It's been far too long since I posted a card. We here in South Florida have been super busy! On Tuesday I had worked on this card for the Color Challenge but got a bit distracted with hurricane preparations. We have plenty of food, are shuttered up, and have a whole-house generator. We are now hunkered down and ready to see what happens with Hurricane Irma. Then we'll see what Hurricane Jose has in store.
I have been trying to use some "never seen ink" stamps, and this is an older stamp set but a sweet one. I love the simplicity of it, and it seemed to work for the colors. I also had never used this die too. I colored the flowers and used mostly the Pool Party with a hint of Peekaboo Peach for the centers of the flowers, and I used green for the stems and leaves. I enjoyed using the Chameleon Pens with the Color Tops and found them easy to use. I used my Mini MISTI to add the sentiment, added some Wink of Stella, and matted it with black. Then I used Scor-Tape to adhere two of the dies to make it sturdier. I adhered the front to a simple square card base with just enough space for a short "sending hugs" note.
Thanks for taking a closer look, and I hope you are all doing well. Please pray for the millions of people in Florida who will be affected in some way by these storms...and for those in Georgia and wherever Irma goes from there. Hugs!

Cheryl, this is absolutely stunning my friend. I love this wonderful die you used to showcase this gorgeous bloom you colored so beautifully. I am so impressed and inspired by how brave you are facing Hurricane Irma and possibly Jose too by standing strong and making your signature stunning cards! Be safe dear friend and know I am praying for you and everyone in the path of Hurricane Irma. Hugs! ~Karen.

Delicate and genteel! This must have brought some peace and comfort for you to create this lovely card in the midst of pending Irma. It's absolutely marvelous!
We have friends that just moved to Pt. Charlotte on 8/12. Their first purchases on their list.... hurricane shutters & whole house generator.
Little did they know they would be needing these so soon.
Thoughts and prayers for your safety and all impacted by this mega storm.

This is absolutely gorgeous! That die cut is stunning and your bouquet of posies is beautiful and so wonderfully colored. Beautiful card. And yes, Florida, Texas, and most of the western states (fires) are already in our prayers for safety.
Wow, Cheryl! Exquisite!!! Seriously, I keep scrolling back up for another look! Your coloring is gorgeous!!! Love the framing. Such a beautiful card. You are in my prayers!!!! I am imagining you all shuttered in!!! I REALLY don't expect anything here but apparently, there is talk going around that we could see some effects. I received a phone call from our DS asking me what sorts of things he might need just in case.
