Well, hello, sweet friends! It's been far too long since I posted a card. We here in South Florida have been super busy! On Tuesday I had worked on this card for the Color Challenge but got a bit distracted with hurricane preparations. We have plenty of food, are shuttered up, and have a whole-house generator. We are now hunkered down and ready to see what happens with Hurricane Irma. Then we'll see what Hurricane Jose has in store.
I have been trying to use some "never seen ink" stamps, and this is an older stamp set but a sweet one. I love the simplicity of it, and it seemed to work for the colors. I also had never used this die too. I colored the flowers and used mostly the Pool Party with a hint of Peekaboo Peach for the centers of the flowers, and I used green for the stems and leaves. I enjoyed using the Chameleon Pens with the Color Tops and found them easy to use. I used my Mini MISTI to add the sentiment, added some Wink of Stella, and matted it with black. Then I used Scor-Tape to adhere two of the dies to make it sturdier. I adhered the front to a simple square card base with just enough space for a short "sending hugs" note.
Thanks for taking a closer look, and I hope you are all doing well. Please pray for the millions of people in Florida who will be affected in some way by these storms...and for those in Georgia and wherever Irma goes from there. Hugs!

This is absolutely beautiful, Cheryl. I love the slight bit of black contrast matting behind the focal point (which is beautifully colored). And of course, the lovely frame is just right for this lovely floral.

Lovely card! Caught my eye right away. Thank you for sharing. We Canadians are thinking of you as you deal with nature's wrath. We hope you stay safe and our thoughts are with you.
