I am so pleased to be a guest designer for the color combo during the month of September. It is always an honor getting to design with such talented women who give me inspiration all year long.
Karen picked some awesome colors pool party, peek a boo peach, basic black and any green is dessert. I promised myself I wasn't buying any new colors until I used all the ones I've bought through the years. So the closest I could get was soft sky and blush blossom, with old olive and basic black.
I have been unmounting my stamps and these sets were out when I got the challenge colors. I thought it was time I used them too. Since they have never been touched with ink, like so many others in my collection or hoard, I realizing there is s fine line there!
This card is for an old typing teacher in need of cheering up. She just turned 98.
I bought these things laughing that is exactly the typewriter I learned on. Remembering the onion skin paper, bristled eraser and having to line the carriage back up when making a mistake. Lol. The days when making a copy was with a piece of carbon paper, back when we really left a carbon print. If you're old enough you'll also remember figuring out to center something depending on whether the type was pica or elite. Remember??? Lol
Card size is 5.5 by 8.5
Vintage stamp is Hampton Arts, top secret, inking of you and note paper are new clear dollar, typewriter I believe is stamp camp...every things else is from SU sets office ephemera and puns from the past, antique crackle and weathered wood

Tonda, what a perfect vintage creation. Besides the old typewriter, there are so many other wonderful things to gaze upon. I enjoyed reading your post and love this distressed, vintage card. Been looking for a card from you and now know you've been busy unmounting stamps. Glad you got to use these.

Oh, my, yes, I do remember all those things--carbon paper, those erasers that were a circle with a brush on the end, pica vs. elite! Your card brings back such memories. My grandfather had a typewriter exactly like this! So glad you could join us in the color challenge this month! Love this card!!

Awk, you brought back so many memories of high school typing and in my early years in banking with the old typewriters!! LOVE this gorgeous vintage take on the colors, Tonda. This is perfect for your long-retired teacher.

Fabulous vintage card Tonda! All your elements brings back fond memories of my typing class in 'junior high' (now called middle school). Especially the eraser with brush!! Lol
