I am so pleased to be a guest designer for the color combo during the month of September. It is always an honor getting to design with such talented women who give me inspiration all year long.
Karen picked some awesome colors pool party, peek a boo peach, basic black and any green is dessert. I promised myself I wasn't buying any new colors until I used all the ones I've bought through the years. So the closest I could get was soft sky and blush blossom, with old olive and basic black.
I have been unmounting my stamps and these sets were out when I got the challenge colors. I thought it was time I used them too. Since they have never been touched with ink, like so many others in my collection or hoard, I realizing there is s fine line there!
This card is for an old typing teacher in need of cheering up. She just turned 98.
I bought these things laughing that is exactly the typewriter I learned on. Remembering the onion skin paper, bristled eraser and having to line the carriage back up when making a mistake. Lol. The days when making a copy was with a piece of carbon paper, back when we really left a carbon print. If you're old enough you'll also remember figuring out to center something depending on whether the type was pica or elite. Remember??? Lol
Card size is 5.5 by 8.5

Fabulous collage of typing elements! The background is very soothing and lovely! I Could really relate to the correcting with the old brush eraser and having to line everything Up!

What a MARVELOUS collage card full of typing vintage elements...and yes, I too, learned on an old Royal manual type writer with all those typing implements you mentioned along with carbon paper. We did onion skin, but move to a lightweight printer-like paper in high school. Lovely vintage card full of distressing and fraying!

When I took typing in high school, it was on a manual typewriter, but it wasn't this vintage. Lol You are the queen of Vintage, Tonda, such a wonderful array of writing needs! Love the Roaring 20's gal in the upper left corner~

What a fun card - and it is sure to bring a smile to the face of your former typing teacher. Love the rich textures you've added to your creation - my fav is that super ragged sheaf of papers in the roller. Yes, I do remember when copies were made with carbon paper - what a nightmare it was to correct mistakes! It definitely encouraged accuracy ..ha! Thanks for sharing this fun card, it's delightful!

What a great card! I do remember all that typing stuff. I had forgotten those erasers with the brush on the end. My 1st was at an accounting firm. I had to type up financial statements, they had to be perfect with no visible corrections. I learned to type at a high rate of speed with maximum accuracy. Those skills transitioned nicely to the computer when it came out.
