This is my project for the alpha challenge round 8 letter C. I made a calendar. For part 2, although I didn't use an x-acto knife, I did do a lot of fussy cutting. I printed out the lego man images, colored them, and cut each one out (26 total). I printed out numbers and punched them out with a circle punch to put on the front of the lego man images.
I used chipboard boxes to make the frame, the pockets, and each calendar number card. I covered the chipboard with the red cardstock. This is a birthday gift for a young man who just turned 40 and loves legos.
Although I started with this tutorial, I wanted to use pockets instead of the rings, and ended up changing everything.

Cute Lego men! Such great fussy-cutting! I hope they are not one of the 1,400 and LEGO plans to give pink slips to...that would not bring joy! (Heard that on the new today)! DUH! thanks for sharing the video...for some reason was not seeing where the calendar part fit in...as I say...DUH!!
