I was inspired by Karolyn Loncon's card design that I found on Pinterest. My card fits The Ways to Use It challenge to use 3's (three splashes of yellow) and the Free for All challenge to Spread Your Wings and Fly High (the bird and the balloon).
The card base and panel are all white. The gray background is just a piece of cardstock I put behind the card to take this picture.
I die cut the white panel with numbers on the bottom. I used a small strip of scrap card to color the blended yellows/oranges that you see. I stamped and clear embossed the balloon on one end of the strip and fussy cut it out. I applied some white gel to the highlights on the balloon. I used the rest of the strip to attach behind the "5". I used a strip of gray behind the 1 -4 numbers. The sentiment was stamped in gray and then embossed with Versamark and clear e.p.. The bird was punched out of yellow c.s. several times and layered together with the bottom layer angled a bit to make the beak appear open to hold the string and the extra tail pieces trimmed off. The eye was created with a black glaze gel pen, the beak was colored with a gray colored pencil and the string was drawn with a gray colored pencil. The bird and balloon were popped up with dimensional adhesives onto the panel and then the panel was popped up onto the card base.
Thanks so much for looking!

Cute! Love the creative design. Excellent for a 5th birthday or maybe even a 50th. I like the bird's wing. The yellow is bright and happy. Well done with both challenges. TFS
