I'm this week's hostess for WTUI, Rescue Me! This is a remake of one of my first Christmas cards. It has been languishing in a drawer for years! I die cut the trees green and parchment. Layered them, added white gel pen and glitter for the snow. Added some glitter snowflakes, more plaid ribbon and topped it off with a bow.
TFL, come play along.

The first card is a wonderful CAS and the updated card with the trees and ribbon really pop perfectly with the large sentiment. Great job dressing this one up and rescuing this one.

Wow! A few simple touches and you have completely transformed this Christmas card. I should have you over so you can go through my "discards" pile and help me transform them! Ha! I digress though. I do like your first version of this card just fine; however, the 2nd card really does sing! I am truly impressed! ~Karen.

Gorgeous redo! So fun to see the difference between the two and I love that you saved this card after years of sitting in a drawer. It looks much happier now

Your original is very cute and great for mass mailings. Your "rescue" card is super elegant. I love the double white and green die cuts, the glitter glue and the snowflake bling.

That's a super Christmas sentiment stamp, but adding the layered border really dresses it up, and the extra ribbon is great framing and in keeping with the old-fashioned look of it.

Really like this transformation! The snowflakes, trees and glittery snow, plus the plaid ribbon addition all help transform this card into a lovely Christmas card!
