For today's sketch I made a wedding card for my DS & DDIL's friends who dated 8 years. This weekend the are tying the knot in a country barn setting.
I followed the faux leather technique found here: Faux Stamped Leather Tutorials at Splitcoaststampers
I substituted a couple of colors and used a stitched rectangle die vs piercing my own cardstock.
The lace panel is stamped in peach on mint cardstock representing their bridal colors along with brown leather. Perfect match for a perfect pair of sweethearts!
Finished with feather washi tape and die cut feather with heat embossed sentiment.
I'm very pleased with the results and love the faux stamped leather technique.

What a fun card for a barn wedding. Great idea to use the faux stamped leather technique (also looks great on this sketch)! I also really love that DP on the left side. So fun!

What a terrific wedding card for a barn wedding. Love the country colors, design paper and birds. The faux stamped leather technique was perfect for this country card.

Wonderful how you were able to customize your card for the recipients! I love that rich brown faux leather! It makes a fabulous contrast with the mint green and lace. TFS
