Birthday card for Mr. Wonderful. I particularly wanted to upload this because it was my first time using my new Nuvo Embellishment Mousse and I am in love with it wanted to share the love. I used a stencil here, but I didn't press the mousse through thickly with a palette knife, I used the Nuvo dual-tipped brush (I know, I sound like an info-mercial) to apply it thinly and look how opaque and beautiful it looks, even for my first tentative try! Next time I'll go a little heavier.
The image was watercolored, and then mounted on part of a scalloped A2 card front die I have, I just cut the whole thing out and then trimmed the top and side to fit the focal panel. Added gold thread, made a messy bow and then Glossy-Accented it in place. Finished this just in time. I was waiting for that green paper to arrive from PTI because I needed a less yellow green than I have and they had one.
TFL!

No!!!! Don't tell me about a must-have product when I'm on a spending freeze, so I don't want to look too closely. What I do really like is the contrast between the geometric background and the soft flowing shape of the floral arrangement.

What a GREAT card...that stenciled bg is very cool and gives your floral image a masculine edge to it (perfect for a guy card)...now you've got me curious about that mousse (you did sound just a bit like an infomercial..lol) All your accents and trims are go really well with the grid bg..the washi and border die offer a taylored look. Happy Birthday to your guy
