I stamped the hardwood background stamp in Early Espresso on Soft Suede. Then, to simulate the chocolate chips in the pin, I randomly stamped the dots from Timeless Textures with Early Espresso and colored them with Wink of Stella for sparkle.
Yesterday Priscilla's beautiful card in the gallery said, "When in doubt, put a bird on it." (Here is the link to her card: MIX232 When In Doubt by catluvr2 at Splitcoaststampers) So I decided to punch a bird from a color burst background I had. A circle element from Swirly Scribbles thinlits and I was almost done. My oldest DD said it should be a get well card. So, after stamping the sentiment many times in Early Espresso, I stamped again with Versamark and clear embossed it. She was also the one who selected Pool Party for the card base.
Thanks for looking.

Oh how pretty! Your bird has so much dimension punched from your blue Brusho paper and I love the glimmer paper for the leaf, branch and spiral. Great, simple design!

Beautifully designed and colored! Love the way you did the background adding the extra dots and sparkle! The blue bird is perfect with the background and lovely vine! Love the "when in doubt use a bird"!

Oh, Catherine, what a fun motto, "when it doubt, put a bird on it!" LOL! I have a friend who loves birds on cards, and I'll have to share that with her. But truly, this is beautiful, and I love how you created this card with the help of your DD. The pin you chose is perfect, and you've "nailed" the challenge. Beautifully done...and thanks for the giggle! Hugs!
